what are the uses of esters apart from in food flavourings, perfumes and biodiesel

Some aminobenzoic acid esters and aminoesters are used as local anesthetics, for example procaine [ 2-(diethylamino)ethyl 4-aminobenzoate ] and benzocaine [ ethyl 4-aminobenzoate ]
