New Year this season, I fell quite different from before. I seem to missall those New Year songs, especially the “CholChoung” oldies by Rous Serey Sotheaand Sin Sisamouth. I still rememberthose days. Waking up in the morning a couple days before the New Year days, Icould hear “Chol Choung” songs frommy neighbor’s radio. The feeling of joys is indescribable! The music is sopersuasive that actually makes you get up and plan to do something for thecelebration. You’ll have a feeling to call up friends or relatives as companiesto go shopping for new clothes and plan out for far trips. Now let’s get backto the reality! Life is lonely than ever! Getting up this morning, I did hearanything but the rain. I have to go to school. What a day! My college life inAmerica sucks!

Either created by ancient Egyptians or Greeks, time is nodoubt one greatest invention ever for humanity. There are so many types ofcalendars founded by different civilizations. But the one that we all recognize today is the modern universal calendar--- 24 hours a day, 30 days a month(generally), 365 days a year (generally). So question? Do we create time ortime creates us? Well, the answers vary depend on people’s perceptions. Anyway, the important theme of this top is “Time can be manipulated!” In the West, it’sknown as Daylight Saving Time. In spring, from March to November is the periodthat USA begins to push 1 hour of time forward so that the people have moredaytime. Now why do they do that? There are many reasons behind this. Butenergy conservation is one of them. The practical idea is that when the day islonger than the night, people use less electricity. It’s fascinating to me thatpeople can do such thing like that. The original idea of changing time wasinvented by president of the United States, Benjamin Franklin in 18thCentury. And now it’s widely used throughout the West and Australia.

I'm not talking about Khmer Rouge Tribunal Process that taking place. I'm talking about the other side of the past. During the period of civil war, Vietnam and China greatly got involved with our nation. From former king Sihanouk to current prime minister Hun Sen, Vietnam took advantage by manipulating Cambodian politics for its own benefit. And it's no doubt that Vietnamese policy still strongly influences Cambodia's current government. China, on the other hand, economically supported and armed Khmer Rouge Regime all the way in exchange of its Communism expanding ambition. Nowadays, no one can deny that China is not the biggest investor in Cambodia's economy. From textile industry to agricultural products, Chinese investment takes over and plays a very crucial role in the country's economical growth. The outside look of a very small scale development might confuse people's mind that the nation is moving in the right direction. In fact, we are so fragile internally. We are politically not an independent state. That is what I am afraid of. I'm worried that we may follow the past shadow. We used to make friends with the Communists and became foe with t...... We take power first. We take money next. And everything else comes later. In the West, Democracy & Capitalism work as “Yin & Yang”. In Cambodia, we take Capitalism to the next level and we step over Democracy.

Here are how we roll: We empower ourselves with "Special Right" to rule our countrymen rather than "Special Obligation" to serve. We chase people away and build Capitalists’ skyscraper. We sell everything that belongs to the people to empower our Capitalism empire. We sell mountains, rivers, trees, lands, mines, and even our identity. Above all, we put country for sale!Yeah! That's how we roll!

Bloggers blog different things like people in front of the Royal Palace do different things. Some do running, some do aerobic dancing, some play badminton. Being there, I sometimes run and I sometimes just sit and watch people. Just like visiting the Cloggers website, I often times look around and check bloggers' pages. Throughout the history, only one thing that people remember about Mongol is Genghis Khan, the universal ruler who conquered almost half of the world. After the fall of the greatest empire, Mongolia was so isolated from the world. Not many people know where in map Mongolia located. This is what so interesting about Mongolia nowadays; it's surrounded by the two biggest communist nations, Russia and China. However, Mongolia identifies itself as a democratic nation. In one way or another, it has to be influenced by its neighbors. Mongolian literature characters adopted Russian language. The people still speak Mongolian but they write in Russian; it is similar to the way Vietnamese language influenced by French. Anyway, here's the beautiful side of Mongolia. Mongols are good in wrestling like always. It took two gold medals in Judo and Boxing in recent Beijing Olympic. And one of the most famous Sumo wrestlers in Japan is Mongol, Asashōryū Akinori. For those of you who like watching Japanese Sumo, you can check out youtube video. He is a great wrest

We human kinds are the most intelligent creatures on the planet. We dominate every life aspect on earth. We even challenge each other in our kind. Every piece of land, water, ice, and air that we share are divided by border lines. It is irony to say that we divided the moon, but it is relatively true. Now what else can we entitle the ownership? Mars of course. The whole picture here is that only rich nations have rights to control this universe. They've been trying so hard to do whatever it takes to dominate the whole world. It might be hard to see the things the super powers have done to the world. However, we'll see it if we look into that deeply. So who are these powerful masters? There's a number of them. Yet only 3 that account for the most controversial propaganda. USA, Russia and China draw their selfishly maps to control the world economically and politically. They successfully split Korea into 2 nations; they almost got Vietnam. Cambodia is no doubt a piece of pie that these countries compete one another to get. In the past, they bombed us; they ironically armed us to kill our people; they're behind the coup to change our leaders. Now they're still comp...... [ Read the rest of this story ]

What is Thailand doing? Is it trying to show off its military muscle? Invaded Cambodia's territory on the conflict areas, Thailand demanded a peaceful talk. A couple talks have been done so far; and they led to nowhere. What do Siam really want from Cambodia? Preah Vihear? I would say it's a fairy tale dream. Sitting on top of Asian, Thailand evoked arm conflict with Cambodia in a losing game. Maybe she ignores the internal battle between her people. Thailand is getting close to the point of splitting the nation into two because of bad nationalism. With existing wound inside and being as a bad neighbor with all the countries around, Thailand is engaging herself with a dangerous game.
