Changes can improve the grou.ps site... but sometimes what seems a reasonable idea can fall short in implementation. Which is why we make suggestions as a "community" to better the work being done. There are cultural differences to be overcome here, primarily around communication between headquarters and administrators. But just as pertinent is realizing that a "techie" doesn't always think about how non-technical members intuit how to use the site. Doing a search at Grou.ps has just been changed. I try to explain such things to my members as such things are far from obvious! Another recent loss was the ability to edit thread titles. Hopefully the team in San Francisco can now understand why this is important, especially in light of the search feature now zeroing in on titles by default.
