The Forum Index (accessed by the discussion button in the top menu bar) contains numerous categories to post threads. This is essentially “the logic" underlying our orchard posts so people can research what’s been said on a particular topic to date. Having “categories enough” to cover the gamut of what we all come up with and yet keeping this from becoming too unwieldy is important. Brief descriptions of the content within each category hopefully help clarify the intent. Suggestions are always welcome to make this intent more obvious. Kevin let me know that ‘Organic Resources’ didn’t quite work for him, thinking it merely about suppliers… and so I’ve tweaked that category to now be called ‘Spray Nuance’ … hopefully indicating to more of you that some great threads are here concerning spray specifics and tank mixing. On the other hand, I’m not going to create an ‘Organic Suppliers’ category as yet until such time as I see the need. We currently have 20 designated categories which seems plenty. Each time you create a new post there’s a box below the message area to indicate where your message should be categorized. It is not a big deal if you’re not sure… as the administrators can reassign any post to what seems to fit best. Plus there’s always the option at the very bottom of the list: ‘Message Central’ is our catch-all category. More of you are tuning in to the “on-going-ness” of our conversations. You get attention for a new subject area by giving it a clear thread name. That message in turn will be found within its proper category when there’s interest in reviving a particular angle. Keeping things this way has great value, I think.

The additional categories makes the discussion easier to follow and keeps us "on point." Thanks for your efforts.
