Can anyone offer some direction with regards to cherries With apples, if a shoot ends in a blossom, by picking the individual flowers off, it is possible to activate the dormant growth bud. My cherries seem to have the habit of producing short fruiting spurs where I would like a branch to develop. Is there a way of converting from fruiting spur to growth? Many thanks Clifford Doncaster, UK
