Saint-Lawrence

Saint-Lawrence
Known as St-Laurent in Québec, originated near Montreal, probably a natural seedling of Fameuse. Oldest reports indicate it was already known by 1820, and it was introduced in Massachusetts in 1831. High quality for fresh eating, was one of the leading varieties in Quebec before it was displaced by McIntosh. Hardiness rated to zone 3 or 4. Scab sensitive.
