Longmont police say a 92-year-old woman's house is in foreclosure after an acquaintance refinanced it three times and used about $200,000 in proceeds for travel, lavish dinners and other expenses.

Eileen Marie Banman of Boulder faces charges of theft and crimes against an at-risk adult. Police say she is free on bail. A man who answered the phone at her home on Thursday said she was not available to comment.

Police declined to identify the victim, saying she was embarrassed.

Investigators say the 60-year-old Banman got Power Of Attorney to help the woman with her affairs after her husband died in 2001. They say she opened credit card accounts and refinanced the house to pay them off. Police say the expenses included trips to Costa Rica and Puerto Rico and big dinners.
