here is the official story for the game basicly dark link get's trapped in the palace of twilight after the confrontation with link in OoT dark link searches for a artifact for the first few temples he get's it and uses it to enter hyrule again it messes up time and space allowing midna and the twili to enter hyrule when dark link enters hyrule something happens and causes princes zelda to become the same as dark link (for the time being) enter the first real battle in a zelda game after a attempt to get the triforce dark link is purified by midna turing him into the link we all know the Master Sword sens him into the furture but zelda is still on the loose, so link / dark link set's out to find her. and in the Future Zelda had taken over Hyrule and Midna is fighting a resistance Zelda excutes Tingle (had to brag about that )

Personally, I say you execute Tingle as many times as possible. anywhere form 8 to 10 thousand times would be acceptable.
