Nudism is the preference for being nude. Some consider themselves nudists simply because they prefer being nude, even though they have never participated in nude activities outside their home, or backyard. Nudists that are only nude home among friends, family, or alone are sometimes referred to as "closet nudists" or not thought to be nudists at all. Some people prefer the phase nudist though they more resemble the description of Naturist.
