RoughTwist are a 6 piece rock funk band from Macclesfield. Formed in 2008, the band made their first public appearance in May 2009 and have been gigging regularly since in venues across the North West, creating a large local fan base. By fusing riff heavy rock and roll with funk grooves and the inclusion of both tenor and alto sax, RoughTwist have created a sound which is original, interesting and which has attracted a large cross section of fans, resulting in great reviews from both them and professionals alike.

The Royals first started in 2010 but recently went through a slight line up change welcoming new drummer Chris Jevons! After successfully winning the North Wests ‘Take It To The Maccx’ competition in December, the lads have been rehearsing hard for their competition prize, a slot at Liverpool’s Sound Festival. 2012 is going to be a big year for The Royals and Music Vibe will be following their moves and see how they progress throughout the year. They have been writing some new songs with Chris and we cant wait to hear more from them.
