Forum Index > Ideas/Work In Progress > New Category - PWO Customization

I was thinking about this a while ago, and I was thinking about possibly setting up a new category in the Wiki for PWO Customization. I see that we have a page for uploading your own sprites into the game, but I find that the page is somewhat random in its placement, and that an entire category on the subject of customizing your game could be very useful. I could easily set up several different pages, each explaining how to change all of the features in the game, from music to maps to characters to Pokemon. I could set it up to be organized similar to my area page layout, and another idea would be to have a gallery on the wiki for PWO forum member-submitted content for the game. For this, I'd basically make a new topic in the sprite and client customization forums asking for people to submit customized Pokemon, trainers, and client skins to be featured in the wiki. If this is an okay idea, how many entries should we have in each page's gallery? Should we screen each submission for quality? Should there be a limit of any kind at all?

Sounds great to me. A basic step by step action plan, possibly with screenshots, should be enough User created content should be on a separate page. I think we don't have to put up a limit. I'd say 1 screenshot max. and a working download link and a small description. Also make separate galleries for the diffrent features. And put a link to that gallery in the "how-to" pages.

Those are good ideas. I'll see what I can do.

I like the idea of put all CUSTOM content on a main page but open space to ppl post external download links even if the main idea is for customized content is dangerous.

Hmm... I think I get what you mean. Of course we could lock the wiki article once its done and if it does need changing, then asked for it to be temporary unlocked.
