Pallet Town + Route 1>> ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Starters Path ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |

After you have registered and verified your account, you are ready to log in! After logging in, you will appear in a map called Starters Path. This place is specifically there to tutor you on several features and risks on Pokemon World Online. Talk to each NPC and answer their questions correctly in order to progress through the map. Be sure to keep the info you have been taught in mind.
NPC #1 - Elderly Man (Trading)
"Hello and welcome to Pokemon World Online! Before you begin your adventure, I'd like to teach you something. Trading with friends is half the fun of Pokemon. To trade, you and your partner must be inside the same PokeCenter and both of you must have 100 reputation points. Then you will each type /trade <player's name> into the chat window to initiate the trade. Ok! How many rep points do you both need to trade?"
Answer: 100 rep
*You can also right-click the person you want to trade with and select Trade while in a Pokemon Center. The other person must accept the request to continue.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NPC #2 - Lass (Gym Leaders)
"Remember that Gym Leaders only have time to battle you once per day, So if you lose you will have to wait 24 hours!"
*Perhaps this was phrased wrong but I believe it's only Brock who requires the 24-hour wait. Other Gym Leaders may take 36 - 48 hours to reset. If this note is incorrect, please correct or erase.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NPC #3 - Camper (Reputation/Rep Points)
"That guy you just talked to mentioned reputation points, but I bet you don't know what he meant. Reputation points, or rep, are points you earn for defeating NPCs and players in battle. You get about 1/20 of a person's rep when you beat them. Some NPCs, including gym leaders, require a certain amount of rep before you can battle them. You can check how much rep you have by typing /rep. So if you don't have enough rep, what should you do?"
Answer: Try to win some battles
*An easier way to check Reputation will be by clicking the Trainer tab at the upper left corner of your game screen.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NPC #4 - Lass (Battling)
"Hi! I bet you're looking forward to battling with pokemon, right? You can send a battle request to another player by typing /battle <playername>. You can accept a battle request by typing /accept <playername>. If you want to know the level of a player's pokemon before battling, you can look at their profile on playerdex.com. To battle with NPCs just walk up to them and press space. Do you remember how to battle another player?"
Answer: By typing /battle <player name>
*You can also right-click the person you want to battle with and select Battle. The other person must accept your invitation in order for the battle to occur.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NPC #5 - Elderly Woman (PokeMart/Auction House)
"Sometime during your adventure you will need to buy and sell items. To do this you will use the Auction House which is inside the PokeMart. When you have 100 rep, you will be able to auction off Pokemon and bid on them using this system. You will also be able to buy and sell items like Pokeballs and Potions for a fixed price. Some items, like badges and quest items, cannot be sold! Can you buy badges?
Answer: No
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NPC #6 - Youngster (Trade Channel)
"If you have a pokemon you want to trade, which channel should you use to talk on?"
Answer: trade channel
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NPC #7 - Picnicker (Bugs/Glitches)
"Since this game is in beta, that means it is still under construction. You might encounter bugs or other errors. You can report bugs, ask for help and talk to other players on the forums. You can check the PWO forums by going to Pokemonworldonline.net/forums. Did you get all that or should I repeat it?"
Answer: I understand how to find the forums
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NPC #8 - Elderly Man (Pokemon Tracking)
"Want to know where you catch a certain pokemon? Type /list <pokemon> to see where you can catch it. You can also type /catch <mapname> to see where you can catch on a given map. For example /catch route 2 shows you all the pokemon you can find on route 2. Try typing /list Pikachu right now! Remember that you have to be on the Global chat tab to read the results of this command."
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NPC #9 - Lass
"I'll let you pass if you can tell me where to catch Pikachu!"
Answer: Viridian Forest
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NPC #10 - Camper (Staff Members)
"Staff of PWO will have a tag that says [MOD] [GML] [GM] or [DEV] next to their name. PWO staff will NEVER ask for your password! If someone asks for your password, report them on the forums. Anyone who asks for your password is trying to scam you. So what will you do if someone asks for your password?"
Answer: Report them on the forums
*Even though the NPC said that MODs are Staff, MODs are actually ordinary players like you, entrusted with the abilities to kick, mute players, and unstuck players. MODs are NOT official Staff Members!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NPC #11 - Youngster (Scammer Forewarning)
"Unfortunately, some players might try to take advantage of you and scam you with a bad trade. You should always look up a person's pokemon on Playerdex.com before trading with them. You can also check stats and see if their pokemon is shiny or not. If a person hides their profile, you can choose not to trade with them. Check the Community Watch forum for tips on avoiding scammers. "
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NPC #12 - Lass (SHINY Pokemon)
"Remember that all Shiny Pokemon have an [S] in front of their name when being traded. A player tells you they want to give you a shiny pokemon. What should you do first?"
Answer: Make sure the [S] is there
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NPC #13 - Youngster (PWO Wiki/FAQ)
"This world can be confusing, can't it? If you don't know where you are, type /loc. You can easily find a map of Kanto or Johto on google to help you find your way. If you have more questions about the game, you should check out the wiki and the FAQ on the main website. Go to Pokemonworldonline.net and click on either FAQ or Wiki to read more. If you need help, what will you do?"
Answer: Check the wiki or FAQ
*Just in case you don't know... you ARE at the PWO Wiki! :p
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NPC #14 - Elderly Woman (Refreshing/Player Stuck)
"You have learned much! You are almost ready to begin your adventure. There is just one thing I want to remind you of. Sometimes you might glitch and get stuck in a black area or a wall. Try typing /refresh if this happens. You can also try closing the game and coming back. This is called relogging. If this doesn't help, ask a GM to move you or let another player defeat you. If you have User is Still Online error, wait ten minutes and the game will log you out automatically."
