(K001) "Zombie" Bug- When your pokemon faint but you don't automatically teleport to a Pokemon Center.
This seems to happen to new players who have let their pokemon faint before they reach a PokeCenter (PC). The game keeps track of your last PC visit, and when you faint you automatically go to the last PC you were in. But, new players have never been in a PC before so they do not teleport. This means they can walk around with fainted pokemon and even get into battles, which they will be stuck in forever because the 'run' function won't work and they can't attack.
Fix: When caught in a battle with fainted pokemon, you must close the game and relog. You have to get to a PC to fix the bug. Try to avoid grass as much as possible because you will just have to exit the game if you are attacked. If this bug happens to you, its likely that you are in Pallet town, so just walk north to Viridian City, which has a Pokemon Center.
(K002) Pokemon fails to learn a new move.
Once a pokemon learns a new move, it will not learn any more and you will have to edit their moves manually using the move editor in the playerdex.
Fix: Sign in to the playerdex, click on "My Pokemon" and click on the pokemon that needs to learn a move. You can now check the four moves you want it to learn. Be careful, because a pokemon can forget moves that it learned during a last evolution and can never learn it again. (For example, kakuna could forget poison sting, and you can never reteach it poison sting because that attack is learned when its a weedle, not a kakuna or beedrill.) The cost will be free for as long as this bug exists, despite what it says.
(K003) Stuck in a tree, wall, or total blackness.
This happens when you pass between two maps. (You walk to the edge of a map, and instead of waiting for the next area to load, you try to walk backwards. This can make you end up in a tree or other object you shouldn't be able to walk through. Or you can end up in total darkness.
To Fix: Relogging
To Avoid: When you go from map to map, sit patiently and wait for the area to load. Don't try to back out.
To Avoid²: Sometimes relog don't fix it, so ask someone to battle with you and you must to lose it, when you lose you will be send to PokeCenter.
(K004) Jesus Bug- walking on water.
So called the Jesus bug because you have the ability to walk on water. Really this bug doesn't cause problems, its just kind of cool. Only happens in a few areas that have yet to be fixed.
(K005) Playerdex Bug- Traded pokemon don't show up as owned.
If someone trades a pokemon to you, it won't show up as owned by you. If you evolve the pokemon its new evolution will show up. If you want to fill your dex, you'll have to catch them yourself.
(K006) Item doesn't work?
Sometimes clicking on a stone, rod, or other item has no effect. For many items, you actually have to click slightly below the item to get it to work. Of course, some items just don't work because the game is still in beta and their function does not exist yet.
(K007) Screen turns black/pink/orange.
This is actually not a bug, but people think it is. The screen turns black at night, and changes color during sunrises and sunsets.
To Fix: If it's too dark to see, change the brightness on your monitor.
To Fix #2: Disable weather in the PWO options menu
(K008) Evolution Bug
Occasionally when a pokémon attempts to evolve the game will crash.
To Fix: Just attempt to evolve the pokémon again, usually by leveling.
(K009) Trade Evolution Bug
Some pokémon that have to be traded to evolve won't evolve when traded.
To Fix: Put the pokémon in your PC storage box, take it back out, and try again.
(K010) Crashing during PvP Battles
Using potions during a battle will cause your opponent to get an error and crash, which often results in that person being wrongfully accused of disconnecting in battle.
(K011) Innacurate Pokemon Level
In a PvP or trainer battle, all the pokemon in your opponents party will look like they are the same level as the first pokemon they use. For example, some users think Brock has two level 15 pokemon even though one is level 19, but it looks like a 15 due to the bug.
(K012) User already connected with server
When you takes the status: You now marked has AFK (Away from Keyboard) and the game closes, your character continues logged into the game has (AFK). This is also known to happen during disconnection from battles.
To Fix: Try to wait for a few minutes before logging in again.
To Fix #2: Log on with another account, then ask a [MOD] or [GM] to kick your main character marked has (AFK).
To Fix #3: Open the task manager with PWO running, right click PWO.exe in the processes menu and click end process tree. This is the quickest and most efficient way to disconnect your previous entity from the server.
(K013) Max HP increases during fainting
Most often occurs in a PC verses NPC match, if either of the pokemon faint, sometimes thier maximum HP will increase for the rest of the match. This is a useless effect of course, as the pokemon has fainted by this time, and cannot yet be revived.
(K014) NPC battle is interrupted by a random encounter
If you walk in front of an npc and are challenged, sometimes you may also be attacked by a random pokemon, if you happen to be standing in a cave or on grass. This occurs because lag makes it so that the game doesn't read that you've entered a battle until after you've crossed paths with the npc. Many times this can lead to a character getting stuck, because the npc still wants a battle.
To Fix: Do not run away from the random encounter. If you beat the random pokemon, you wont get stuck and be forced to disconnect.
(K015) Getting Gym Badge While Not Battling Gym Leader
If you battle a NPC near the Gym Leader in a Gym, that NPC will give you the gym badge, instead of the leader. Is not recommended to abuse this bug.
