"font-size: 14pt; font-family: "Lucida Handwriting";">Once upon a
time there was a girl named Penelope. She was a step sister to two other girls
that were never nice. She was always waiting to have a chance to prove that she
was better then everyone said she was. Everyone said she was always a mean
person and never wanted to help anyone and always pushed people away that
needed her help. Well…. She is nothing like that. She is a kind and generous
person that helps anyone that she can. Her step sister’s names are Kaitlyn and
Sarah. Sarah was the youngest one and Kaitlyn was the oldest. Sarah was a
little nicer than Kaitlyn but you really couldn’t tell.
       But they never let
poor little Penelope do anything. They would make her do all the chores. When
she wanted to go somewhere with her friends, they would always keep her home
and have her do their chores. They would always keep her locked up in her room
when boys came to the house to visit her. Her step sisters would always keep
the boys in the living room and talk them into liking them instead of
Penelope.
<span style=

There were only two guys that would never like Penelope’s step sisters. Their
names were Matt and Jessey. Matt has known Penelope almost his whole life and
Jessey just knows how hard her life is at home and likes her for the person she
is. Penelope likes both of these guys too. Penelope, her step sisters, and the
boys are all seniors in high school and can’t wait to graduate. But before they
graduate there must be a dance and everyone in the school shall pick a
homecoming king and queen. Well, when the dance came along her step sisters
went and bought brand new dresses. The dresses were beautiful. They made
Kaitlyn and Sarah look like they were princesses. The dresses had lace all over
and had puffy sleeves and silk gloves. Sarah’s was green. Kaitlyn’s dress was
pink. She asked if she could go. They said no. They said she had to stay there
and clean their rooms and scrub the floors. They gave her a list of chores that
was a mile long.<span style=

When the limo came to pick them up and take them to the dance, they jumped in
and were gone that quick. Penelope sat scrubbing the floor crying.

Then all of a sudden, there
was a noise at her window. It was Matt and Jessey! They had come to take her to
the dance. She was telling them about the list of chores and how she could not
go to the dance because of her step sisters. They said they knew about the
chores. They would have her back at her house before midnight. (That is when
the danced ended.) Matt and Jessey finally got her to go.<span style=

                  “But I
don’t have anything to wear except these old dirty rags.” replied
Penelope.

                Jessey’s mom and
dad had recently bought this big box of costumes. He had brought her a
beautiful dress. It looked even better then her step sisters’ dresses. She
looked at it and gasped. “How did you
get this?” she asked. <span style=

“My mom and dad got these costumes. I brought it for you to wear to the dance.
So get out of those rags and change into this”.<span style=

<span style=

She ran into the bathroom and got the dress on. She came out of the bathroom a
few minutes later. The boys just stared.
Do you think it is too much?” she asked. <span style=

“No” they both said at once.<span style=

“Here.” Jessey said “I brought you a mask also so no one can recognize
you.”
<span style=

        “OK” she said. The
mask was also beautiful.
Well, are we ready?” Matt asked.
<span style=

“Yes” they said.

So they all climbed into the car and
went off for the dance. They got to the dance. The boys helped Penelope out of
the car. The boys walked down the stairs to the dance floor. Once they got to
the bottom of the floor they looked around. Everyone was staring at something.
They turned around and noticed it was Penelope. She slowly started walking down
the stairs. Matt helped her onto the
floor.
                                                         “May
I have this dance?” asked Jessey.
                                 “Yes
you may.” Penelope said.
     <span style=

they danced. They waited until the song was over. Then they got some punch out
of the punch bowl to drink. Penelope realized that this was as much fun as she
has had since her father died. Then Penelope’s step sisters stared at
her. They
started whispering to each other. “She looks familiar.”
They said Penelope realized that a lot of people were looking at her. She
didn’t realize that in that crowd that her two step sisters Kaitlyn and Sarah
were staring at her. Then what happened to Penelope next would amaze her. The
most wanted and cutest boy in 12th grade asked her to dance. The cutest boys
name was Jon.

<span style=

             “Okay” she said.
<span style=

She was so excited. They danced and then all of a sudden she heard the clock
chime.
“OH NO!” she said. She ran and grabbed Matt
and Jessey. They ran up the stairs. Jon come shouting behind her.<span style=

<span style=

“Come back!” he yelled. “What is your name?”
He shouted 2 or 3 times.

But yet, she ran and hoped to get home in
time to make sure her step sisters and step mother wouldn’t realize she had
left. Under all of this chaos, she had dropped her necklace. Her necklace had
her initials on it. Her initials were P.R.O. Her initials stood for Penelope
Rose Osmond. Her father had made this for her 10th
birthday. She has had it ever since. Jon found the
necklace on the stairs. He looked at it and noticed that those letters were
engraved into it. Well, she got back to her house and made it back just in time
to find her step mother and her step sisters just driving down the street. She
had time to get out of the dress and back into her other clothes before they
got out of the car and into the house. Matt and Jessey left just in time also.
Her step sisters asked her what she had been doing this whole time. She told
them she had been doing the chores on the list and scrubbing the
floors.
They said, “We thought we saw you at the dance?” “Nope, I have been here or I wouldn’t have gotten all the
chores done if I would have gone to the dance.” Penelope replied.
“Well, we are going to bed and getting our towels ready for in the morning when
we take our showers!” they yelled as they went up stairs to bed.

              Penelope slept in the
basement as much as she wanted her bedroom back but her step sisters were
sleeping in there now.

The next
morning they woke up, took their showers, and they were off to school. When
they got there, they realized that there were flyers and banners everywhere.
“What is all of this?” complained the step sisters.
<span style=

“This is to help me find my soul mate that I danced with at the dance and all
of a sudden she ran off.” said Jon. When Penelope heard this news, she was so
excited. But she thought that if Jon found out that it was her, he would drop
all of the soul mate talk and say never mind. So she was scared to tell him who
he danced with at the dance. Well, as you might as well know the step sisters
were so excited they ran to try to tell Jon that it was them. They met him in
the lunch room tables.<span style=

“I am the one” Sarah said.

dance with dropped something, what was it?” he asked them.<span style=

“Easy” they said. “It was a cell

One day there was a drought across an unknown land on the earth. No one knew
about this strange land so no one could help the living creatures being
affected by the drought. So all the creatures spread across the land and were
moving toward modern day cities. Everyone was frightened by the strange
creatures. The large creatures tore down trees and people had to dodge the big
animal’s feet just to survive. The smaller creatures infested houses and got
into food. People would have thought that the fluffy creatures would have made
good pets if they weren’t terrorizing the city. So people gathered any type of
weapon they could and tried to drive the animals away. This angered the
creatures and made them attack the population. The giant creatures used their
massive bodies, claws, trunks and any other affective body part they had to
fight the human population. The smaller creatures bit people and gave them
strange diseases. After a few days the military showed up and tried to gun down
the creatures. The Bullets could not penetrate their rough skin and thick fur.
Only large weapons could bring one of these creatures to their knees. The
military did not have any food because the smaller creatures got into it so
they used the large animals for food. The large creatures saw how their own
kind was being slaughtered and this made them even more furious. Even though
the creatures would have gladly tried to destroy the city they moved on. They
moved towards the ocean and found a small village. The village thought that
this was the end and they were probably right because the creatures just
trampled the poor village. Moving closer to the ocean the giant creatures began
to sink into the sand. They turned around and headed back towards the village.
By then the military heard that the large creatures were spotted near the
village so they set up a full scale attack. When the large creatures returned
to the village they were attacked by a barrage of missiles and explosions. The
military even sent a few aircraft carriers because they believed that the
hundreds of creatures were that dangerous. The creatures were cornered and
there was no possible escape. Men were closing in on them and the creatures
were trying to break through but were gunned down with heavy weaponry before
they could make it. A few scientific citizens tried to stop the military saying
they wanted to study the creatures but they were pushed aside. This was the end
of these strange creatures.

Once upon a time there was widower father. He was a blacksmith with three
daughters. Jane the oldest sister and Marie the middle sister were mean to
their young step-sister Victoria. Victoria’s mother passed away giving birth to
Victoria. Her father adored Victoria. Jane and Marie envied Victoria because of
her looks. Victoria had long curly brunet hair with light brown eyes that
sparkled in the sunlight. Unlike Victoria’s step-sisters they had dirty blond
hair with dull gray eyes. Jane and Marie never got tired of always bossing
Victoria around giving her more and more to do. Victoria followed orders
without a complaint, even thought she did not want to. Victoria always dreamed
of her Prince Charming to come to taker her away from the miserable life she
had with her step-sisters.

One day a servant from the castle was sent by the prince to go door to door and
announce that there would be a big ball. That the prince was searching for
princess to become queen. Victoria was thrilled about the ball. She was hoping
that she would finish her chores on time so she could attend the ball.

     A
week had pass since the announcement had been announced. Victoria had been
working on her dress she would wear to the ball. Victoria dedicated all of her
time on the dress when she finished with her chores. Finally, Victoria had
finished with her gorgeous white dress. Victoria was proud of herself. She
couldn’t wait to wear the gorgeous dress to the ball.

One night while Victoria went to gather wood for the fire before she would
leave to go to the ball. Jane and Marie had looked through Victoria’s wardrobe
to see the dress Victoria would wear to the ball. Marie found the gorgeous
white dress. Victoria had worked to wear to the dress to the ball. Jane could
not stand the way the dress looked so gorgeous and especially imagining
Victoria wearing the white dress. Both Jane and Marie decided to destroy the
gorgeous white dress Victoria worked on. Jane started to rip the bow on the
dress while Marie grabbed the scissors and starting cutting the bottom of the
dress. Jane and Marie both quickly destroyed the dress before Victoria got back
form gathering wood. Until, the dress had no were else to destroy Jane and
Marie left for the ball already having their ball dressed on, so it would not
look like they had destroyed the gorgeous white dress.

After Victoria arrived from gathering wood and kept the fire burning she went
to her to give her dress the last details, so she could wear it to the ball.
When Victoria saw what had happened to her gorgeous white dress a small tear
tolled down her check. She started sobbing and saying, “Now I can not go to the
ball!”

Victoria stopped crying until she cried the last drop of tear out. She was
terribly upset that now she had no dress and no chance to have a dance with the
prince. Victoria tried to fix the dress but she knew it would be impossible
and too late to fix the dress. Victoria had no idea what was in front of
her when a white beam of light started with a lovely white night dress.
Victoria thought she was dreaming and pinched herself, but the beautiful woman
was still there. Victoria was scared and shocked to speak.

“Who are you?”, asked Victoria with a high pitch voice.

     “I
am your mother. Elizabeth. You don’t recognize me because you never knew me,
but now here I am to help you.”, replied Elizabeth.

“How can you be my mother, when my mother passed away when she gave birth to
me?”, asked Victoria.

     “I
might be gone physically, but spiritually I’m always with you to protect you.”,
said Elizabeth.

“Oh”, said Victoria.

“That is why I’m here to help you, so you can go to the ball and have that
dance with the prince you want.”, said Victoria’s mother.

     “I
could never go to the ball with a dress looking like that.”, pointed Victoria
to the dress.

“And besides it would take a miracle to fix the dress!”, Victoria kept
saying.

“Well sweetie like I said that’s why I’m here to help with that. Just close
your eyes and count to three.”, said Elizabeth with a ware smile. Victoria did
as she was told.

“Okay, now open your eyes”, said her mother.

When Victoria opened her eyes she was speechless. She could not believe that
the white gorgeous dress that had been destroyed was not the most beautiful
dress she had ever seen. The dress was long lavender dress with beautiful
designing on the bottom part of the dress.

“Thank you so much mom”, said Victoria for the first time.

“You are welcome daughter of mine”, replied her mother.

“Now hurry. Put the dress on the then you shall leave for the ball that awaits
you.”, said Victoria’s mother.

Victoria put the dress on and then made a face that her mother noticed.

“What’s wrong Victoria? Did you not like the dress?”, asked Victoria’s
mother.

“No, No, No, it is not that. I love this dress you have given me. It’s that I
won’t make it on time to the ball if I go walking”, said Victoria with an upset
face.

“No, need to worry for that Victoria. I got it all taken care of. You will be
riding a Spanish Horse that is waiting for you outside”, replied Victoria’s
mother with a smile.

“Wow. I do not know how I will be able to ever repay mom”, said Victoria with
teary eyes.

“There’s no need for you to start crying because it will ruin your make-up. Do
not worry about repaying me Victoria. All I want is for you to be happy. But
promise me something Victoria.”, asked Elizabeth.

“Okay. What is it?”, asked Victoria.

     “
I want you to wear this gold necklace with a charm shaped as a heart. Inside
the heart it will have an engraved letter, V.”, said Victoria’s
mother.

“Okay I can do that”, said Victoria.

“But if the necklace falls off your dress will turn into the torn up white
dress”, said Victoria’s mother.

“Okay”, replied Victoria.

Victoria turned around for a second, but before she knew it her mother had
vanished out of thin air. Victoria wished she could have talked longer with her
mother but she couldn’t because it was getting late for the ball.

When Victoria arrived with her beautiful dress riding the Spanish horse all
eyes were on her. Jane and Marie didn’t recognize who the beautiful girl had
been. The people of the town didn’t know who this beautiful girl was or where
she came from.

Later that night Victoria looked down to see if her necklace was still there.
Victoria was relieved because she still had enough time to still dance with the
prince. Victoria did not know if to wait for the prince to ask her for a dance
or if she would go up to him to dance. But before Victoria knew it the prince
had been heading her way to ask her for a dance.

“May I have this dance?”, asked the prince in a soft voice.

“Of course you may”, replied Victoria blushing. The prince and Victoria headed
to the middle of the dance floor and started dancing. Victoria didn’t know what
to say during the prince and her dance. Victoria thought the dance would never
come to an end.

Until finally the music stopped. The prince kissed her hand and again
Victoria’s cheeks were bright pink. The prince asked her if she wanted to
accompany him to the garden of the castle. Of course she didn’t want to pass up
on an opportunity that she would never get.

Victoria followed the prince to the garden.

     “I
enjoyed that dance with you.”, said the prince. Victoria blushed and looked
down. But when she looked down she noticed that her necklace was missing.

“Oh no!”, gasped Victoria.

“What’s wrong?”, asked the prince.

     “I
have to go now.”, said Victoria and ran out.

“But wait, I don’t even know your name.” said the prince, but it was to late
Victoria had already left. When the prince looked down at the ground he noticed
a golden necklace with a heart shaped charm. The prince then figured out why
the girl he met had left.

The next day everyone was talking about the mysterious girl that came to the
ball and left running from the castle. Jane and Marie asked Victoria if she
knew anything about the mysterious girl that was at the ball.

“Oops, never mind you know nothing about the ball since you didn’t go because
your dress was destroyed.”, said Jane. Jane and Marie just walked off laughing
at Victoria.

Victoria did not say anything.

Later that day someone knocked at Victoria’s house. The same servant that
worked at the castle was asking that if any girl was missing a golden chain
with a heart shaped necklace.

“Yes, I lost my necklace yesterday and I don’t know were I lost it.”, said
Victoria.

“Well it doesn’t happen to be this necklace would it”, said the servant holding
Victoria’s necklace that her mother had given her.

“Yes it is”, she said with a smile on her face.

“Dear prince we have found your princess”, shouted the servant to the prince
that was next door.

“Found who?”, asked Victoria in a confused voice.

“You are the girl the prince is looking, and now you will become his queen.
Unless you do not wish to marry the prince.”, said the servant.

“Of course I would”, said Victoria.

“Well next week there shall be a wedding”, said the prince coming toward
Victoria.

     A
week later passed. Victoria and the prince married and they lived happily ever
after.
