Li, China's top Internet regulator, insisted Friday that Google must obey its laws or "pay the consequences," giving no sign of a possible compromise in their dispute over censorship and hacking. (AP Photo/Vincent Thian) Associated Press Google, the US-based search giant, is “99.9%” sure to withdraw its service from China over the negotiation impasse concerning website censorship, according to a local report. The China government noted on Mar 12 that there is no concession over the censorship issue in order to retain the internationally-known company. Google CEO Eric Schmidt noted on Mar 10 that Google’s negotiation with China over news censorship and hack attacks will be soon to come to an end despite lack of clear timetable at a media conference in Abudhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates. ![]() "We are no longer willing to censor our search results in China, and we are currently reviewing our options," Google vice president and deputy general counsel Nicole Wong said in her testimony before the US House of Representatives Foreign Affairs Committee. "If the option is that we'll shutter our .cn operation and leave the country, we are prepared to do that," said Wong. Since Google accused of the China government of website censorship and hack attacks on Jan 12, resentment and discontent over the uncivilized measures soar around the globe. A former anti-intelligence official of the US also noted that the China government might be behind some hack attacks on websites of the US government and companies despite no specific evidence. |

Unbelievable, I'm flipping through the news (cable) to see what is going on with the earth quake in Haiti.... Probably going to be a serious problem because government building are said to be heavily damaged .. Stop at FOX and Shepherd Smith is crowing away... Then something very very interesting comes up …. Someone has tried to hack into China email accounts (gmail), google doesn't say whom they suspect, but has a chat room where they apparently stated that they are not going to honor the current government censoring rules , in fact they are willing to talk about service but only if unrestricted, they acknowledge that they may not be able to service China under current conditions and are willing to close China offices ..
Google welcome to the human race, finally you realize we are at war and what we are at war with. It is humans verses out of control global corporations, which have amassed more power and rights than any living form ever, they can never die, have no conscious and apparently can not be jailed …
GOOGLE- I've waited years for your group to finally stand with and for humans , we can make it work if we get rid of the jerks and clowns who know nothing but to profit from death and misery, a psychopathic frame work for liars and cheaters to excel.... We can build a better tomorrow now, it is simply a matter of freewill. And your group if it meant what was said, has taken a large step forward for everyone concerned … For this you deserve KUDOS way to fly guys.......
Also an honorable mention for Ron Paul _ I still think you are a serious pussy however, you did point out this week that the CIA seems to be a very serious problem for the citizens of the USA --- No Shit Sherlock what gave you your first freaking clue.... Still no problem with what happened on Sept 11 2001 …. Who knows some of us believe in redemption … BUY a CLUE and ponder a bit maybe it will dawn on you that you have not really seen the lights ...
