Mist with tail.

Please comment. And no-one was smoking, Glowing things near mist are reflectors on someones shoes. Have not found much information on mists, and what I have looks different. So though it was worth posting to get some explanation's and some more info out there for us all to learn from.
Smoking would naturally be the first thing mentioned...and no one smoking. Next I would look at exposure, because a long exposure will show a mist. But this was a good speed. I don't think it would be cold enough in august to show breath.

Now I have to ask if there was water nearby? As the air cools off the water would produce moisture in the air. Is that a bridge over a creek? or other water source?

    Interesting picture.
It is a bridge, but water really only runs during a good rain. So possible, but I have some similar, that are not near water. There is a lot of colour in the mist does that have any relevance?
The color in the mist would probably be the moisture causing a color spectrum. If you look at moisture orbs you will notice they have a variety of color. By enhancing the photo and lightening, it appears the mist source is coming from the right side of the photo.
There is always humidity in the air. The state with the lowest average humidity is AZ at 20%, which is plenty to reflect a camera flash and show up even though it is not visible to the human eye. Wind currents, even at .5 mph will move these mists around.
