A reflection off the candle comes to mind first, but it looks like its in front of the frame which has me wondering.
If you zoom in you can see the candle has its own reflection. Because that was my first thought too.
This one has me baffled, I came back to look thinking camera movement where only the bright object would show but the frame is brighter then the candle and its not showing movement. The fact you can see it on the wooden frame and not just the glass is baffling. A long exposure can cause a mist in a picture also but these settings look good.
I must admit I am a bit excited that your baffled. Thanks for taking the time to have a look them I really appreciate your input.
There isn't enough information to draw any conclusions on this pic. i.e. what was the weather conditions, was it cold, was it misty, was it raining, was it hot? What were the conditions of the room, was it dusty, was it spotless? What was the condition of the windows, where they dirty or clean? This is just a drop in the bucket when it comes to the information we need to make a comment. Just throwing up a pic and asking, what do you think, is akin to me sending you a letter with every other line blank and asking you what the letter was talking about. Without this information, I'm going to say the flash reflected off the windows onto the white wall, which reflected the light back into the windows and then back into the camera lens causing lens flair or, depending on weather conditions, this could be nothing more than a light mist caused by the warmer air inside the building coming into contact with the colder air around the windows and your flash reflected off that mist.
stuff on the lens. because this blob is on both images at same (?I think) position with same shape and in both cases in front of the photographed objects.
