For those that hear unexplained noises in your walls or under your floors, you may want to take a look and see if there could possibly be any loose pipes. Running water through pipes can sound like rapping or banging noises, some could also give the effect of footsteps depending on what location you are in your home. Mold and mildew are toxic; these can also cause health issues and should be removed. They only need a damp and moist environment and an organic material to establish themselves to.
