Debunk Paranormal

Once again I will put myself out there for criticism. I see some paranormal teams that believe in demons. This is like believing in bigfoot. People claim a demon exists but if we look at all the recent claims of exorcism we see fraud, and mental illness. Through out history mental illness is misdiagnosed as a demon. We have schizophrenia, tourette's syndrome and scores of other mental issues. We have people commit crimes and say the devil or god told me to do it. We have alcoholics and drug addicts that are diagnosed with a demon. Sure you can say addicts have a demon, but not one that can be driven out with holy water. The Catholic church says one in five thousand reported cases may actually need an exorcism. We have high emf's and toxins causing hallucinations, stress can trigger people to think they have paranormal activity. They are positive that they have been invaded by demons from the depth of Hell. They claim demonic activities are taking place and they are desperate for help. When I ask them why they feel they have demons, they generally respond that a psychic or medium visited their home and reported that there were evil or demonic spirits in their home and that the home had to be exorcised by a priest or minister. Let's backtrack for a minute. The idea that the home is occupied by demonic spirits was created because a psychic or medium said she felt evil. First, what if the psychic or medium had a bad hair day and got nothing but emotional static and interpreted their own emotional static as evidence of demonic activity? Psychics and mediums are not trained to understand the spirits of the dead. What if the psychic is a fundamentalist who has been taught that demons will get you if you are not good. Could the psychic be being effected by high emf's? We all know how accurate psychics are, so it must be true right? This case was discovered by (in the words of the demonologist) a world famous Michigan Paranormal Investigator. I searched and searched and was unable to find a web page for this world class team. Instead of spending countless hours searching for the history, toxicology reports, past owners, the history of the property, I can just set up a camera and scare them.
